The Explorer K1 is our newest addition to the Salt Kayaks range.

This boat is built for paddlers who are looking for a very stable K1 without losing that racing kayak feel.

 

The multi-layered hull flattens out beneath the seat with a 'V' developing in the front meter of the nose. We have ensured substantial rocker to allow for greater manoeuvrability in the rivers.

​

The deck is quite different to most wider models out there. Lower cockpit edges ensure that good paddling technique is possible without having that "drowning" feeling in the drivers seat. The nose tapers at the end, giving the boat a much sleeker feel.​

​

Each Explorer comes fitted with the new fully adjustable rail system to allow for a 20cm setup range catering to each paddlers' personal preference.

 

Carbon footrests are included whilst foot straps and pumps are optional extras.
